When is the earliest time guests can check in?

4:00 PM

Occasionally we accommodate early check-in times, especially if no other guest is checking out earlier that same day. The cleaning crew needs time to get everything perfect for your stay. If the cleaning crew is complete before 4PM we can provide early access. Contact the host if you wish to request early checkin.

How do guests gain entry to the property?

We have keyless entry

When arriving to the Front Quivira gate, provide your name, details of your stay, and room number. We will have already provided security with this information so they will just fact-check it quickly and then let you in.

We have keyless entry smart locks. You will receive an email from the automated RemoteLock service 7 days before checkin. This email will contain unique private and personalized access code. Please check your junk mail folder if you do not see the email. Contact us with any questions or concerns.

How do guests access the community?

Because is a private community we will need you to go to Copala Concierge (The Clubhouse in the center of the neighborhood) after checkin to register your visit and they will provide you a number folio that gives you access to the Pueblo Bonito Resorts/golf course/etc.

Make sure to mention that you are a renter in Copala at everywhere you spend money, and ensure you get your discount. Discount ranges from 10%-25% depending on Resort, Amenity, etc.

What are the directions travelling to or from the airport?

Guests have multiple options to get to or from the airport:
1) Contact us to pre-arrange private transportation to/from the airport, or
2) Guests can use Uber or a taxi. See details below, or
3) Guests can rent a car and drive and we provide free parking on site. See driving directions below.

If you rent a car and drive, we suggest you use Google maps and search for ‘Copala at Quivira’ This will give you the Location of the Copala Community inside of Peublo Bonito / Quivira.

If, for whatever reason, you need to stop and ask directions, please explain that we are located inside the Quivira golf community near Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach resort which is well known to locals. You will pass through multiple security gates so please be have ID and your unit details (Copala Unit #xxxx) ready.
Note there are two options to get to/from the airport, a faster toll road or a longer but free and more scenic route. Adjust your GPS settings according to your preference.

What are the airport directions using Uber?

Uber is a great value in Cabo. The price and service levels are exceptional compared to other options. Unfortunately, Uber is not yet allowed to pick you up inside the airport or inside Quivira. There are easy workarounds to this — see the “getting around” card in the house manual section.

If the driver is not familiar with the Copala at Quivira community, please explain that we are located inside the Quivira golf community near Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach resort which is well known to locals. You will pass through multiple security gates so please be have id and your unit details (house or condo #) ready.

Note there are two options to get to/from the airport, a faster toll road or a free and more scenic route. Drivers will take the longer free route by default. Please indicate the toll route and discuss and extra charge if you prefer the faster option.

What are the airport directions using Taxi?

Taxis are available at the arrivals area in the airport. Please ensure you agree on a price with the driver before agreeing and getting in to the taxi.

Parking Information

Free parking is included on site. Please ensure you get a parking card from the concierge when you set up your folio.

If you rent a casa (house), it has parking available in the driveway as well as street parking.

Air Conditioning

Units are equipped with a split style air conditioning unit in each room. Remote controls to operate the AC units are mounted on the walls. Any remote control will operate any AC unit in any room, you do not need to use a specific remote for a specific unit. The remotes are pretty intuitive, on/off and temp up down buttons + various settings for the fan control etc. We suggest you just use the on/off and temp control and leave everything else on automatic mode. Please do not run the AC units in any room with the doors open as electric bill increase drastically when this is done.

Security

The unit is equipped with strong security technology. You will receive a personal pin code to use on the main door entry which will automatically activate and deactivate for your specific stay dates & times. There is also a motion sensor with LED lighting and a security camera on some of the units rooftop patios or backyards. If you are uncomfortable with camera or light please drape a towel over it — please do not attempt to adjust or turn off the camera.

Getting Around

For getting around within Quivira, Copala has a free shuttle service between the condos and the numerous resorts, restaurants, golf clubhouse, etc. The shuttle runs every hour on the half hour (1:30, 2:30, etc) and does a return route every hour on the hour (1:00, 2:00, etc). To request shuttle service call the concierge and tell them how many people will be using so they can reserve spots for your group. Usage is first come first served so call ahead as soon as possible.

The Copala shuttle is dedicated to Copala residents. There are other shuttles in the various Pueblo Bonito resorts that look very similar so look for the Copala name and logo on the side. Reference the photo below.

For getting out to or returning from the various Cabo attractions (downtown, marina, medano beach, etc) there are a few different options:

  1. Uber is by far the best value option for getting around cabo. Unfortunately, Uber is not allowed to enter Quivira property without an owner or a guest in the car. To work around this, use the above mentioned Copala shuttle to go to the main gate and catch an uber from there. When you are ready to return then Uber can bring you all the way to the condo as long as an owner or guest is in the car. An extra convenience tip is to save the GPS location for the main gate and set the Uber meet-up location while in the shuttle on the way to the gate so the Uber will be waiting when you get there.
  2. The concierge can order you a taxi. Make sure you agree with the driver on the amount and destination before getting in the vehicle. While rare, there have been cases of disputes so best to double check.
  3. There is a back entrance to Quivira by the Mavilla residences. This gate will require the same information to enter as the main gate: name & room number

Wifi:

Wifi Name and password Is located either on a house card / fridge flyer in the unit or directly on the modem.

House Rules:

No smoking or vaping anywhere in the unit including indoors or on patios.
No pets.
No parties or events.
No excessive music or noise at any time.
Quiet hours are 10PM – 8AM
Please check-in with concierge at Copala clubhouse office as soon as convenient after arrival. They will explain how to access and pay for the many amenities in the community.

Check Out:

We have a professional & experienced cleaning staff, so check-out is similar to leaving a hotel.

Please leave the beds unmade and ensure any used towels are on the floor so it is clear to the cleaning crew which items need to be laundered for the next guest.

Please ensure everything is turned off when you leave — the multiple air conditioner units are particularly common for guests to forget to turn off.

Please lock the door when you leave. The cleaning and maintenance team have their own access codes.
